I am a yoga teacher currently residing in my hometown of Seattle, Washington where my passion for yoga began.
Yoga helped me build a healthy relationship with my body, to love and accept myself, and develop peace of mind. I love teaching this practice to help others find not only the physical benefits of yoga, but for the mental, emotional, and spiritual components as well.
My group classes are mostly Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Therapeutic based. My favorite classes cultivate mindfulness, connect breath with body, and balance effort with ease.
about
A PHILOSOPHY
While it was the physical part of the practice that drew me to yoga, it was the philosophical aspects that made me realize the importance of a yoga and meditation practice. My approach to teaching is a blend of eastern and western aspects. I fuse my knowledge of western science in anatomy, alignment, and therapeutics with eastern energetic anatomy and philosophy. I fully believe in the value of my approach that combines ancient eastern teachings with our modern understandings.
It was the philosophical aspects that made me realize the importance of a yoga and meditation practice.

YOGA MEDICINE
I am a Yoga Medicine certified Therapeutic Yoga Specialist.
The Yoga Medicine Advanced Teacher Training program seeks to bridge the gap between yoga teachers and the medical world. If your doctor recommends yoga, but your not sure where to start, an individualized therapeutic practice is the best route.
I work one-on-one with clients on injury recovery and rehabilitation. I work with athletes on cross training, performance enhancement, recovery, and injury prevention strategies.
Therapeutic Yoga seeks to improve the quality of our lives through yoga and meditation. This connects to all aspects of our lives: physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional, to create a holistic healing approach to practice.
